A nationally significant collection of former New Town architectural models go on display in Skelmersdale Library for the first time in their entirety in over 50 years. Curated by Glassball Studio, Alternative Futures is a collaboration between Lancashire County Council Museum Service, Archives and Libraries, along with architectural practice Other People’s Dreams, local residents, artists, schools and organisations from Skelmersdale, to re-remember this former Mark II New Town through its architectural and cultural heritage. Exhibition can be found on the first floor of Skelmersdale Library. Exhibition is open during normal library hours. Made possible by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
