SUMMARY:New Town Model Visit
DESCRIPTION:Glassball Studio in partnership with Lancashire County Council Museum Service are offering a special visit to see rare historical materials during their conservation. Former Skelmersdale Development Corporation architectural models\, spanning from the 1960s to 1980s\, are now in the process of being conserved after being in storage\, getting ready for an important exhibition in Skelmersdale Library later on this year. During the visit you’ll be able to meet the Conservationists looking after your heritage and have a tour of the Conservation Studio’s. \nGet up close to the town in miniature. Can you find your home or school in one of the models? The trip is open to all ages\, but anyone under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult. There are 12 spaces available.
